How we collect and hold personal information

We may also collect information through our website and other digital platforms, including online applications, placement submissions, email correspondence, advertisements, and lead generation forms, including forms and advertisements run on behalf of, or naming, a Training Provider Partner.

Purpose of collecting, using, and disclosing personal information

1. Assessing eligibility for State or Federal Government funding

2. Communicating with clients, suppliers, RTOs, and business partners

3. Managing and delivering our services

4. Referring your enquiry or application to relevant Training Provider Partners, employers, or other third parties so they can process it and, where applicable, enrol or engage you

5. Meeting legislative and regulatory obligations

6. Conducting pre-employment checks

7. Marketing our services, and, where you have consented, the services of our Training Provider Partners

Notification of collection

Where we collect your personal information through an advertisement, lead generation form, or other digital platform run on behalf of, or in connection with, a Training Provider Partner, we will take reasonable steps to make this clear at or as soon as practicable after collection, including that your information will be disclosed to that Training Provider Partner and, where relevant, to other Training Provider Partners who may be able to meet your training or service needs.

Disclosure to Training Provider Partners and other third parties

COMPLET-ED works with a network of Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), employers, and other education, training and workforce service providers ("Training Provider Partners"), and may act as a marketing, lead generation, or referral partner on their behalf.

Where you submit an enquiry, complete a lead generation or application form, or respond to an advertisement, including where the advertisement identifies a specific Training Provider Partner as the deliverer of the training or service, the personal information you provide will be collected by COMPLET-ED and disclosed to the relevant Training Provider Partner or Partners so that they can process your enquiry, assess your eligibility, and, where applicable, enrol you.

Once your personal information has been disclosed to a Training Provider Partner, that organisation collects, holds, uses and discloses your personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy, and COMPLET-ED is not responsible for how it is subsequently handled. We recommend you also read the relevant Training Provider Partner's privacy policy.

We may also disclose personal information to other third parties reasonably necessary to deliver our services, including subcontractors, consultants, IT and platform service providers, and relevant government departments or agencies, for the purposes described in this policy.

Direct marketing

COMPLET-ED, and where relevant our Training Provider Partners, may use your personal information to contact you about courses, services, or offers that may interest you, but only where:

1. you have given express consent (opted in) to receive marketing communications, for example by ticking a consent box on an enquiry, lead generation, or enrolment form

2. you would reasonably expect to be contacted for that purpose, having regard to how and why your information was collected, for example because you made a direct enquiry about a specific course; or

3. you have otherwise requested to receive marketing material or contacted us directly.

We keep a record of when and how consent to marketing was given. If you have not consented to marketing and do not fall within one of the circumstances above, we will not use your personal information for marketing purposes. Personal information collected only for the purposes of an enquiry that does not proceed to enrolment, and that we are not otherwise required or authorised to keep, will be destroyed or de-identified within a reasonable period.

If you wish to opt out of marketing communications at any time, please email [email protected]. You can also use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or reply STOP to any marketing SMS. There is no charge to opt out and you do not need to give a reason. We will action your request within 5 business days and will not send you further marketing communications after that. Opting out does not affect communications you need to receive about an enquiry, application or enrolment already in progress.

Where you enrol with a Training Provider Partner, their own enrolment form and consent processes, governed by their own privacy policy, will determine whether and how they market to you directly. COMPLET-ED is not responsible for direct marketing carried out by a Training Provider Partner once your information has been disclosed to them; to opt out of their marketing, please contact that organisation directly.

Complaints

Privacy complaints or concerns can be made by emailing our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. All complaints are treated seriously, promptly, and confidentially.

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint, investigate the matter, and inform you of the outcome within a reasonable period after completing the investigation.
